“I had been working as a freelance photographer in New York City and wanted to expand my business to the West Coast. I however did not want to lose my New York client base by announcing a major move.

I decided to purchase a SkypeIn number and keep it as my permanent New York business number. After doing this, I was able to move to the West Coast without having to announce my move and alarm everyone I had been working with.
By having kept my office number the same there was no way for anyone to know where I was actually living. I have my Skype calls forwarded to my Los Angeles office and now travel between New York and Los Angeles for work but have made Los Angeles my new home without ever having to tell my clients I had moved.”
