Files, delivered
Send files, large and small, few or many, with file transfer.
When you need to send that fantastic shot of you on the beach to all your friends, Skype’s file transfer is the perfect solution. Send any size of photo, video, document or image effortlessly to one or a number of people.
No size limits on your file transfer.
Quicker than sending an email.
Transfer files that are too big for email.
Any size file
The beauty of file transfer is you can send any size file you want. You aren’t restricted at all to the size of the document, photo or video you want to send. So, even if it’s that huge document from work you need to get over to a colleague at a meeting or sending the family pictures from your last holiday, file transfer is the easy and quick way to get those files over.
It’s worth remembering though that the bigger the file, the longer it will take to transfer.

How file transfer works
There are a couple of ways to send files. In a chat, click Send > Send File then browse for the file and click send. The recipient can then accept or deny the file transfer as they wish.
Alternatively, you can locate the file on your computer and drag and drop the file on to the contact’s name. They can accept or reject the file as they wish.
